Global biometric technology leader Aratek announced its participation in the upcoming meeting of ID4Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa where it will be presenting its full suite of biometric identity solutions.
“Aratek is one with the ID4Africa movement in helping African nations create secure ID ecosystems based on digital identity,” noted Samuel Wu, Aratak’s Vice President for Sales – International Business Department.
“It’s interesting how Aratek’s rallying cry of ‘Identifying the World. Easily. Securely” neatly dovetails into ID4Africa’s current theme of “Identity Ecosystems for Service Delivery.” We are excited to show the African market how our technology will enable the inclusion of hundreds of millions of people into government services, social welfare, and economic take-off, ” Wu added.
One of the many solutions that will be on display is the Marshall, the company’s newest flagship which promises true and secure biometric “identify-anywhere” for many different use-cases. It features a built-in printer and seamless integration with various FBI-certified fingerprint scanners such as FAP20, FAP30, or FAP 45.
“We believe that secure ‘identify-anywhere’ is the driver for the success of the initiative to enroll hundreds of millions of Africans. Marshall just made this a reality by integrating registration, matching, printing, and other functions into one portable module which can be deployed practically anywhere,” Wu noted.
Wu adds that this secure “identify-anywhere” capability strongly positions the Marshall for use in civil ID, financial services, social welfare distribution, voter registration and authentication, census, and SIM card activation.
Aside from the Marshall, the Aratek booth will also feature its formidable lineup of biometric terminals, scanners and modules in Booth D7.
