Shenzhen, July 22, 2018 — Aratek Biometrics Technology recently announced the FBI certification of its A400 fingerprint scanner, the company’s third product to claim the coveted industry standard. The certification recognizes the A400’s compliance with the FBI’s Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Image Quality Specifications Standard, a credential much prized in the competitive biometrics industry.
Aratek CEO Michael Shao said that the latest FBI certification underscores the company’s intensified focus on development in order to meet the rapidly-evolving requirements of customers. “Aratek’s overriding mission is to provide better and better biometric products that make a real difference and create value for our customers in a wide range of applications,” Shao said. He added that the company is geared towards continuous improvement of its products “to keep pace with the customers’ needs which are becoming more complex and demanding by the day.”
“The string of FBI certifications is just the beginning. More exciting times are up ahead as we keep our commitment to continuous improvement, the end goal of which is unparalleled customer satisfaction,” Shao said. The FBI PIV Mobile ID FAP 20 certification is a distinction conferred on biometric hardware that pass the agency’s stringent tests on image quality, usability of output, and inter-operability.
The FBI had earlier certified two other Aratek products — the A600 and FRO900 fingerprint scanners. The A400 is a high-speed, compact and rugged capacitive scanner that uses superior biometrics technology to combine advanced features with ease of use. Being highly accurate and secure, it has become the reliable choice in a wide variety of industries such as finance, health care, and hospitality.
