Aratek slotted for 6th Border Management and Identity Conference (BMIC)

Biometric market leader Aratek is set to bring in a full suite of solutions for border control and digital identity to the 6th Border Management and Identity Conference (BMIC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

“As cross-border mobility starts to pick up again in a post-pandemic world, Aratek’s innovative solutions will be at the forefront helping authorities do a better job at managing and controlling borders with the use of digital identity,” said Samuel Wu, Aratek’s VP for International Business Division.

Aratek to share new self-service kiosk at BMIC

Spotlight is on Aratek biometric border control self-service kiosk machine, which has quickly become a fixture at border crossing points around the world, helping authorities streamline and speed up travel registration and immigration pre-screening.

The self service kiosk machine can quickly read multiple IDs and e-passports with its high-performance document scanner. It comes with a large smart touch screen that provides user-friendly registration experience. The self service kiosk machine is equipped with an automatic height-adjusting camera system which captures ICAO-compliant face images, and an FBI-certified fingerprint scanner which scans high quality fingerprint images. The kiosk uses Aratek's liveness detection technology which thwarts spoofing attempts, thereby beefing up security.

Aratek is also set to give a demo of Truface Solution which marries the BA8300 facial recognition terminal and TruFace manager software for an ingenious access control and attendance management solution in one. The solution offers multiple modes of authentication, like facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, QR code and RFID card reading, enabling users to setup custom access/attendance systems.

Aratek is expected to showcase its popular handheld biometric terminals and biometrics tablets headed by the Marshall series, BM5520, and BM7550, which have made the management of digital identity in the field a cinch. The products have since become indispensable at borders and airports.

Rounding up the lineup are Aratek’s industry standard fingerprint scanners ranging from the FBI FAP 10 to the FBI FAP 60, which have consistently met the needs of diverse industries and applications that use fingerprint recognition for border security and identity management.

The 6th BMIC, which is being organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA), has become the largest gathering of national government authorities involved in Immigration, Migration, Border Control, Identity Management, Home Affairs, Civil Registration, Customs, Population Management, Justice, Health, Public Security.

The event will be on 7-9 December 2022 at the Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel, 257 Charoennakorn Road, Thonburi Bangkok, Thailand. Visit Aratek at Booth #B10.
